Job summary

Quality Personnel in Milton Keynes is seeking a Distribution Manager to coordinate the site’s overall performance and service delivery. You will lead a team of associates, team leaders and managers to ensure timely, accurate operations.

This role requires strong KPI discipline, attention to quality, safety and cost control, and the ability to drive continuous improvements while maintaining open communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in fast-paced distribution overseeing full operations with multi-level staffing.
• Strong understanding of operational controls and performance metrics.
• Proficient with WMS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage HR processes, recruitment SLAs, payroll deadlines and employee relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate a team of associates, team leaders and managers.
• Monitor operational performance and KPIs to meet customer requirements.
• Initiate and oversee continuous improvements.
• Focus on quality and operational improvements/corrections.
• Refine KPIs to reduce waste.
• Provide communication at all levels via regular meetings sharing data and information.
• Oversee training, health and safety and control labour/resource planning.
• Motivate the team and drive a positive culture with open communication.

Job description

We are recruiting for a Distribution Manager for one of our clients based in Milton Keynes

Hours of work: 10am-6pm (flexibility to cover other shifts from time to time)

This is a key role within the business where the successful candidate coordinate overall performance and delivery of services for the site:

• Lead and motivate a team consisting of associates, team leaders and managers
• Monitor operational performance, KPI's to meet customer requirements
• Initiate and oversee continuous improvements
• Focus on quality and operational improvements/corrections
• Refining KPI's such as reducing waste
• Provide communication at all levels via regular meetings sharing data and other important information
• Oversee training, health and safety and control labour/resource planning
• Motivate the team and driving a positive culture with open communication

About you:

• We are looking for at least 5 years background within a fast-paced distribution environment, looking after full operation including multi-level staffing including agency workers.
• Full understanding of operational controls and performance metrics including analysis
• Efficient with Warehouse Management Systems as well as Microsoft Office
• Ability to manage time critical tasks such as HR processes, recruitment SLA's payroll deadlines along with caseloads and employee relations
