Job summary

Movianto Newcastle is seeking an experienced Distribution Centre Supervisor to lead daily operations in healthcare logistics. You will manage a busy site, drive safety, service, and compliance, and mentor your team to deliver results.

You will oversee route planning, performance reporting, and adherence to SOPs, while collaborating across departments to optimise efficiency. A visible leadership style and commitment to Movianto values are essential.

Qualifications

• Must hold a UK driving licence.
• Strong understanding of health and safety legislation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and transport operational systems.
• Working knowledge CPC or advanced knowledge of transport legislation.
• Proven leadership and logistics experience.
• Able to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Experience in a medical or pharmaceutical environment desirable.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day site management including route building, Depot Dashboard, scanning, and DCM role as required.
• Creating a best-in-class environment aligned with Movianto Values.
• Establish high health and safety standards and ensure SOPs are met.
• Provide clear reports on operational performance.
• Coordinate vehicle scheduling and ensure timely service.
• Foster strong inter-department relationships to optimise performance.
• Prioritise HR activities, including absence and disciplinary management.
• Lead, motivate, and engage your team to achieve success.
• Analyse KPI data for continuous improvement.
• Maintain accurate time and attendance records through iTrent.

You will be working Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week) on an annual salary of £34,938.83 per annum.

Purpose of the role

Safety - Service- Cost- Compliance

The DCS is responsible for leading and ensuring all daily requirements of the site are met. Leading by example and empowering all teammates to ensure consistent high levels of safety, service and compliance across the site. The DCS is also responsible for leading an inclusive culture and always embedding the Movianto Values.

This role's focus will be operational compliance, adhering to the set standard operating procedures and processes, health and safety and transport legislation.
