Poltronesofà Distribution Centre in Doncaster is recruiting a Distribution Centre Operative to help move furniture, process orders and ensure deliveries meet showroom conditions.

You will work with a supportive team, load and unload on our fleet, and maintain stock accuracy while following health and safety standards. The role offers a competitive salary and benefits with progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload furniture with the delivery teams.
• Process orders on in-house systems.
• Prepare outbound orders for customer delivery.
• Assist with movement, handling and storage of furniture and carpets in the warehouse.
• Undertake quality inspections and coordinate with teams to ensure showroom condition.
• Keep the distribution centre clean and tidy.
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed at all times.

What’s the opportunity?

As part of the distribution team, you’ll work with a great bunch of people with one simple aim…to get our customer’s orders to them by managing the stock in and out of the warehouse and making sure it’ll be in showroom condition when it’s placed in our customer’s homes.

What does the role involve?

• Work with the delivery teams to load and unload furniture onto our modern fleet of vehicles
• Processing orders on our in-house systems
• Prepare outbound orders for delivery to customer’s homes
• Assist with the moving, handling and storage of furniture and carpets within the warehouse
• Undertake quality inspections when needed, identifying any issues and working with the right teams to make sure the goods are delivered to customers homes in the best condition
• Working in the distribution centre to make sure it’s clean and tidy
• Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed at all times
