Job summary

poltronesofà is seeking a Distribution Centre Assistant in Doncaster to support the Delivery Driver with loading, unloading and delivering furniture to customers’ homes. You will be part of a team at the Doncaster Distribution Centre, performing manual handling and safety checks, with a 46-hour week across four days and Sundays off.

Experience in furniture delivery is helpful, but personality and the ability to learn are valued. A driving licence is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carefully deliver and install furniture in customers’ homes.
• Support the Delivery Driver with making sure the delivery schedule is followed. You’d be making multiple drops daily.
• Work as part of a wider distribution centre team in helping to load and unload furniture onto our vehicles.
• Providing a brilliant service to our customers and encouraging their feedback.
• Making sure the team is safe by carrying out quality checks.
• Heavy lifting.

What’s the opportunity?

You’ll support the Delivery Driver in loading and unloading our furniture and deliver it into our customer’s homes.

Previous furniture delivery experience can be a benefit, but we find personality and the ability to learn new skills more important.
