Job summary

PPL is seeking a Distribution Business Planner (Music Royalties) for a permanent, full-time hybrid role based in London. You will support the planning, coordination and governance of the annual distribution activity, keeping delivery plans and logs up to date while coordinating multiple stakeholders across teams.

Ideal candidates will have strong project management, organisational and communication skills, with experience in complex planning environments.

Qualifications

• Experience of project planning, scheduling and timeline management.
• Experience coordinating complex projects or operational workstreams involving multiple stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
• Clear communication skills and confidence working with stakeholders at different levels.
• Ability to identify risks and issues and work proactively to resolve them.

• Maintain delivery plans, RAID logs, action trackers, decision logs and dependency trackers.
• Coordinate cross-functional workstreams and monitor progress against milestones and deadlines.
• Identify and escalating risks, issues, bottlenecks and changes that may affect delivery.
• Facilitate planning meetings, capture actions and follow up with owners.
• Support resource and capacity planning across competing priorities.
• Maintain planning documentation and contribute to continuous improvement.

Job description

Distribution Business Planner (Music Royalties) – Permanent, full time – Hybrid role (with 3 days required in London office)

The Distribution department converts PPL’s data inputs — including money received, music usage reported and recordings registered by members — into royalty payments for performers and record companies. The team follows a structured annual distribution programme to ensure royalties are paid accurately, efficiently and on time.

What you’ll be doing

You will support the planning, coordination and governance of PPL’s annual distribution activity, helping to keep delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, actions and decisions clearly tracked and managed. You will help keep colleagues informed, aligned and clear on what needs to be delivered and when.

You will bring clarity and structure to busy operational environments and proactively identify risks, issues and dependencies. You will have strong planning, project management and communication skills, good attention to detail, and a collaborative approach to improving processes and ways of working.
