Job summary

Almac Group in the UK is seeking a Distribution Associate to perform clerical duties for distribution orders shipped from Craigavon or Dundalk, ensuring accurate shipping documentation and GMP-compliant handling of materials.

You will track post-despatch activities, assist with tracing shipments, and work a day shift from 08:00 to 16:00, in a busy Clinical Services unit, supporting timely and compliant despatch operations.

Qualifications

• Eligibility to work in the UK or valid UK work permit.
• GCSE Maths and English (Grade C or above) or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a busy office environment.
• Experience using computerised systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and independently verify shipping documentation for distribution orders from Craigavon or Dundalk.
• Handle post-despatch follow-up, including tracking and tracing shipments.
• Perform duties with some manual handling.
• Ensure all tasks comply with GMP requirements.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

The Role

The role is responsible for performing clerical functions related to Distribution orders shipped from the Craigavon or Dundalk facilities. Key responsibilities include preparing and independently verifying all relevant shipping documentation necessary for the effective management of materials during the despatch and distribution process.

Additional duties involve conducting post-despatch follow-up actions, such as tracking and tracing shipments. The position also entails a degree of manual handling.

The post holder will ensure that all tasks are completed promptly and accurately, adhering at all times to GMP requirements.

What we are looking for

• Have eligibility to work in the UK OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up employment in the UK
• GCSE (Grade C or above) in Mathematics and English Language (or equivalent)
• Previous experience of working in a busy office environment
• Experience of using computerised systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
