Job summary

ALMAC Group in Craigavon is seeking a Distribution Operator on a temporary, on-going contract to join the ALMAC Global Headquarters team. You will be responsible for picking and processing distribution orders, maintaining stock integrity, and ensuring accurate inventory control.

The role operates across days, evenings and nights with premiums, 37.5 hours weekly, and a strong emphasis on accuracy, hygiene and GMP compliance.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written and oral).
• Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
• High attention to detail.
• GCSE Maths and English (C or above).
• Previous Distribution/Warehouse experience.
• Knowledge of hygiene standards and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Responsibilities

• Complete all Distribution activities in accordance with SOPs.
• Ensure Distribution facilities are clean and clear.
• Handle all material carefully and in the correct manner.
• Ensure the correct picking of material for all Distribution Orders across protocols.
• Process Distribution Orders in accordance with Distribution Instructions.
• Retrieve material from outside Warehouses efficiently.
• Perform receipt of material into Distribution and locate accordingly.
• Complete all Inventory Management tasks as appropriate.
• Organise all Distribution activities for efficient and secure completion.
• Perform and maintain accurate computer transactions in Distribution and Inventory Management systems.
• Undertake additional duties as designated by superiors.
• Complete all documentation in compliance with cGMP and SOPs.

Distribution Operator - Almac Clinical Services

CPL have partnered with ALMAC Group to recruit for a Distribution Operator to join their team on a temporary, on-going contract.

• Pay Rate - £12.23 + shift premium for Evening and Night shift.
• Location – ALMAC Global Headquarters, Craigavon
• Benefits – 34 days holiday per annum
• Hours – 37.5 hours per week

Shift

• Days - 07.30 to 15.30 (Monday - Friday)
• Evenings - 15.30 to 23.30 (Monday - Friday) 16.7% shift premium
• Nights - 23.30 to 07.30 (Sunday - Thursday) 33.3% shift premium

OVERALL ROLE OBJECTIVE:

To be responsible for the effective picking and processing of Distribution Orders. The role also extends to include receipt of material into Distribution and overall inventory management.

JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complete all Distribution activities in accordance with SOP’s
2. Ensure Distribution facilities are clean and clear
3. Handle all material carefully and in the correct manner
4. Ensure the correct picking of material for all Distribution Orders
   • Be proficient in picking across the full range of Distribution Protocols
   • Demonstrate the ability to pick requiring minimum of supervision
   • Produce consistent satisfactory output in line with department expectations
   • Maintain quality standards in line with department expectations
5. Process Distribution Orders in accordance with Distribution Instructions
   • Demonstrate competency and confidence in processing a wide range of orders
   • Demonstrate the ability to process requiring the minimum of supervision
   • Produce consistent satisfactory output in line with department expectations
   • Maintain quality standards in line with department expectations
6. Retrieve material from outside Warehouses in an efficient manner
7. Perform the receipt of material into Distribution and locate accordingly
8. Complete all Inventory Management tasks as appropriate

During periods of high volume work requests this role will require additional coverage beyond normal working hours and it is a condition of your employment that you are able to fulfil this requirement of the role.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENT

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENT

GCSE (or equivalent) Mathematics and English Language at Grade C or above

Previous Distribution/Warehouse experience
