Job summary

Delta Capita in London is seeking a Technical & Solution Architect (Distributed Ledger / Regulated Financial Services) to lead system design and drive architectural decisions across product management, engineering, and client discussions.

You will start as a senior engineer while gradually taking ownership of architecture, APIs, and technical direction, with exposure to CBDCs, tokenised assets, and post-trade infra in regulated markets.

Qualifications

• Strong experience designing and building software products.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems principles.
• Experience with distributed ledgers and/or blockchain platforms.
• Familiarity with tokenisation and digital asset concepts.
• Strong API design experience (REST, event-driven architectures, etc.).
• Working knowledge of: Java; JavaScript; Solidity; SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, secure distributed systems in regulated environments
• Define and evolve system architecture, APIs, and integration patterns
• Apply appropriate software design patterns and architectural principles
• Contribute to smart contract and ledger design decisions
• Ensure auditability, resilience, and operational robustness
• Translate regulatory and market structure requirements into technical design
• Understand settlement models and post-trade infrastructure
• Work within business frameworks such as CSDR and GDPR
• Contribute production-quality code in Java, JavaScript, Solidity, SQL
• Review code and guide best practices
• Improve CI/CD, testing strategies, and observability
• Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, product management, clients, and regulators
• Tailor messaging to different audiences
• Contribute to technical documentation and client materials
