About the Firm

Our client is a leading international law firm with a substantial Dispute Resolution team advising corporates, organisations and individuals on significant contentious matters. Bringing together more than 100 dispute lawyers across the UK, alongside extensive overseas capability, the team handles litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution across multiple sectors and jurisdictions.

With an established presence in Manchester and Birmingham, the firm is seeking an experienced Partner to strengthen its regional disputes capability and build on their existing client base within a well-resourced international environment.

The Opportunity
  • Lead significant commercial litigation and contentious matters for an established client base.
  • Advise on contractual, corporate, shareholder and other business-critical disputes.
  • Handle domestic and cross-border instructions, including High Court litigation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.
  • Draw upon expertise spanning commercial fraud, financial services, technology and regulatory disputes.
  • Strengthen existing client relationships while originating new instructions and expanding your portfolio of work.
  • Connect with disputes specialists and complementary teams throughout the firm's UK and overseas offices.
  • Play an active role in shaping the future direction and market presence of the Manchester or Birmingham team.
  • Contribute at Partner level to strategic initiatives, business development and the progression of lawyers within the department.
The Ideal Candidate
  • An established Partner with significant commercial disputes experience.
  • A proven track record of handling sophisticated and high-value contentious matters.
  • An established client base with demonstrable ability to originate and generate work.
  • Excellent technical expertise combined with sound commercial judgement and a strategic approach to resolving disputes.
  • A track record of building long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts.
  • The commercial drive to expand existing relationships, win new mandates and contribute to the team's continued success.
  • A recognised profile within the commercial disputes market.
