Job description

This is a unique opportunity for a 3+ PQE Dispute Resolution Associate to take the next step in their career with a Legal 500-ranked firm, gaining exposure to high-value and complex disputes.

Role
A highly regarded Conflict Resolution department is seeking an Associate to join their friendly team in Glasgow.

The role involves working closely with experienced partners on a broad range of commercial litigation matters. You will represent both pursuers and defenders in the Sheriff Court and other forums such as arbitration and construction adjudication. The caseload includes commercial, contractual and property disputes, as well as contentious construction matters, private client disputes and consumer rights claims.

This is a varied and hands-on position requiring adaptability across different dispute resolution areas. You will have the opportunity to develop your litigation skills in a supportive environment with exposure to high-quality, client-focused work.

Your Experience

  • You will have 3 years' PQE in commercial litigation or similar dispute resolution work.
  • Experience in representing clients in court and through alternative dispute resolution procedures.
  • Strong case management skills, with the ability to work independently under partner supervision.
  • Excellent time management, organisational and reporting skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients, colleagues and other stakeholders.
  • A proactive and positive attitude, with a client-focused approach to problem solving.
  • Willingness to travel across Scotland for court appearances, client meetings and firm events.
