Zest Optical is currently collaborating with an independent practice in Kington, Herefordshire, to recruit a Dispensing Optician for their team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a welcoming environment that has become a central part of the community for eye care. The role involves dispensing during two clinic days and administrative/business development tasks on one non-clinic day.

Key features of the practice include:

1. An entirely independent practice focused on care and the patient journey.
2. Providing tailored dispensing services on clinic days.
3. Typically using Essilor or BBGR lenses, with the flexibility to source other brands.
4. Supporting the Director in expanding the practice’s presence on non-clinic days.
5. Flexible scheduling across any three days of the week, from 9 am to 5 pm.

Requirements for a Dispensing Optician

• Proven positive track record within the optical industry and GOC registration.
• Passion for delivering high-level care and service, with a willingness to go above and beyond.
• Calm, confident, and comfortable when engaging with patients.
