Your Role

A typical day involves screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and helping to maintain standards in the department.

We are passionate and committed to providing our Optometrists with all the training needed to fulfill their roles and enhance their skills. We offer a fantastic CPD program, protected time for further accreditations funded by Asda, and full support from in-store, regional, and head office teams.

About You

At Asda, service and creating a memorable customer experience are key. You will use your clinical skills and passion to help achieve this. Working with an Optical Manager, you'll play a key role in creating an environment that combines clinical and operational excellence. You will support coaching, training, and developing new patient services to meet customer needs.

You should be:

  • A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
  • Registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
  • MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months, funded and supported by us)
  • On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
  • Able to use your skills to deliver a memorable customer experience
  • Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the department's culture
