Job summary

Whitby & Co. Optician in London is seeking a passionate, GOC-registered Dispensing Optician to join a stylish, fashion-focused independent practice. This role offers a genuine work-life balance with no weekend work, Monday to Friday shifts, and the opportunity to deliver exceptional patient care.

You will provide expert dispensing advice, help customers choose eyewear, and participate in frame buying, pricing strategy, and recruitment activities. Glazing experience is a plus but not essential.

The Role

You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional patient experience, offering expert dispensing advice, and helping customers select stylish, high-quality eyewear.

In addition to patient care, you will also be involved in:

• Frame buying and product selection
• Pricing strategy
• Supporting recruitment activities
• Contributing to the commercial success of the practice

Glazing experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

• GOC registered (essential)
• Commercially aware and confident
• Passionate about eyewear fashion and styling
• Dynamic, ambitious, and proactive
• Experienced in all aspects of dispensing
• Dedicated to delivering outstanding customer service

Preferred: Minimum 3 years’ dispensing experience.
