Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a friendly and motivated pharmacy assistant for a 12-hour weekly role in Accrington. The position offers progression from Trainee Pharmacy Assistant to Dispenser with full training support and a welcoming team environment.

You’ll provide counter sales and dispensing support, delivering excellent customer service and helping maintain store standards while working Saturdays and flexible weekday afternoons.

Qualifications

• The role welcomes applicants with or without prior pharmacy experience.
• NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing or equivalent is preferred.

Join Our Superdrug Pharmacy Team – Whether You're Qualified or Just Starting Out! We welcome applications from qualified Dispensers and those with no pharmacy experience who are eager to begin their career as a Trainee Pharmacy Assistant. Location: Accrington (BB5 1EX). Hours: 12 hours per week – Saturdays 9am - 3pm & flexibility across week day afternoons. Salary: £13.80 per hour (Dispenser) / Up to £13 per hour (Trainee pharmacy assistant).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting the pharmacy team with counter sales and stock replenishment

We’re Looking For

• Either NVQ Level 2 in Dispensing (or equivalent) OR a keen interest in healthcare to begin your pharmacy career with us as a trainee pharmacy assistant.
• No prior experience required – just a passion for healthcare and customer service
• A friendly, positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well in a team or independently
• Confidence to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Passionate about learning and open to training in additional services
