Market Cross Surgery is looking for a qualified dispenser to join our busy Dispensary Team at our expanding rural practice in Corby Glen. You will dispense and check medicines, oversee CDs, manage stock, and ensure timely prescription processing while maintaining confidentiality and high standards of care.

You should be computer literate with SystmOne and able to work as part of a flexible team with a pro-active approach to patient service.

Competenze

• NVQ2 in Doctors Dispensing or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Dispense and check medicines and appliances against prescriptions.

We have a position available for a qualified and experienced dispenserto join our busy Dispensary Team at Market Cross Surgery; an expanding rural practicesituated in the village of Corby Glen.

Main duties of the job

The requirements for this vacancy are:

• Ensure all medicines and appliances are dispensed and checked against the prescription
• Ensure Controlled Drugs (CDs) are ordered, overseen and recorded appropriately
• Operation of efficient stock control
• Complete end of month PPA submission
• Monthly out of date duties as required
• To undertake any necessary work as may be required and appropriate to maintain a high standard and efficient dispensing service
• Computer literate - knowledge of SystmOne

About us

We are an expanding rural practice with four GP Partners, one salaried GP and a dedicated team of nurses, administrative staff and dispensary staff. We all work to the same ethos of putting our patients needs first and believe in a team working environment.

Job responsibilities

To carry out allprocedures relevant to the post of Dispenser - to ensure patient requests foracute and repeat prescriptions are processed within the set timescales. Toensure stock levels are maintained at the agreed levels.

A brief overview would be process relevant prescriptions, ensure all medicines and appliances are dispensed are checked, collect all due prescription charges and ensure patient declaration is signed, operate efficient stock control, ensure all controlled drugs are documented, take prompt action of any drug alert bulletins, ensure fridge items are stored appropriately, work within the guidelines of all SOPs and carry out any other tasks as may be required.
