Reed Talent Solutions is working with Cadent Gas to recruit 10 Dispatchers. Join a growing team in a fast-paced Dispatch Centre.

You will be responsible for the "on day" allocation of jobs, either manually or system-driven, ensuring jeopardies are managed correctly for all field resources. With training and development, you will become technically competent and provide excellent service to engineers and the public.

What do you need to know about the role?

• Job title: Dispatcher
• Location: Ansty Park - Coventry (onsite full-time)
• Contract: Temporary position via Reed, with potential for permanent employment
• Hourly pay rate: £15.04 per hour
• Shift pattern: Alternating shifts – 6:45am to 2pm, 6:45am to 3pm, 1:45pm to 9pm, and 8am to 6pm. Speak with Reed for details.
• Training hours: 7am to 3pm or 8am to 4pm classroom training.
• Recruitment process: Telephone interview with Reed (competency and situational judgment tests) and two online assessments.

A day in the life of a Dispatcher with Cadent Gas

You will communicate regularly with engineers and customers to ensure jobs are acknowledged and attended on time, and assist with any issues.

You will coordinate jobs with engineers’ schedules and be the first point of contact for Network Supervisors, escalating issues as needed.

What we ask from you

We seek candidates who excel in fast-paced environments, using logical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to ensure timely job attendance. You should be able to multitask with data entry and analysis across multiple systems and maintain accurate records. Most importantly, you should be passionate about safety for colleagues and the community.

You should be comfortable using electronic and paper map systems to support your regional knowledge.
