Job summary

Colonial Group's Day Service team is seeking Facilitators to support people with complex disabilities to participate in learning, therapy, social activities and community experiences in the UK. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred support, promoting independence and wellbeing.

The role involves physical and emotional demands, personal care, moving and handling, and responding to health needs.

Qualifications

• No extensive experience required.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Willing to learn and develop.
• Able to work evenings and weekends as part of a rota.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with complex physical and learning disabilities.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Assist with eating, drinking and specialist feeding plans.
• Use communication aids, mobility equipment and hoists safely.
• Support learning activities in classrooms and community settings.
• Help people access social, leisure and therapeutic activities.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to progress reviews.
• Work closely with families and professionals to deliver person-centred support.
