Job summary

The Disability Service at the University of Greater Manchester is recruiting a part-time Disability Advisor (0.5 FTE) to cover maternity leave for 12 months. You will manage a diverse caseload of students with disabilities, delivering expert advice from pre-application through graduation and collaborating with staff across campus.

We offer a supportive environment, exposure to training on inclusive practice, and opportunities to liaise with external assessors and funding bodies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting individuals with disabilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a busy caseload
• Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of students with disabilities and long-term health conditions
• Provide advice and guidance from pre-application through graduation
