Job summary

Maven Group Ltd in Workington is recruiting a Disability Assessor (PIP) to join a hybrid, full-time role. You will carry out 3–4 client assessments per day by telephone, video, or face‑to‑face and produce factual reports to support DWP decisions.

We welcome NMC‑registered nurses or HCPC‑registered professionals (Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist) with 1+ year post‑registration experience, plus excellent communication and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified NMC registered nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or HCPC registered Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1+ year post-registration experience
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document clearly
• Proficient IT skills and reporting software experience desirable

Responsibilities

• Conduct 3–4 client assessments per day via telephone, video, or face-to-face
• Prepare factual reports for DWP eligibility decisions
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams as required

• Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?

The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 to 4 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for the claim. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.

What we look for;

• An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year’s or more broad post-registration experience

• Competent IT and computer skills


• Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
