Job summary

Maven is seeking a PIP Disability Assessor in Penzance. The role involves performing three client assessments per day via telephone, video, or in person, to document how a disability affects daily life. You will produce concise reports to assist the DWP in benefit determinations.

There is a clear progression path, with on-site work in Penzance and hybrid/home working options. Excellent starting salary of £42,000 per annum, with full-time and part-time options, plus generous leave and pension

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1+ year post-registration experience.
• Proactive and keen to learn.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?

The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. Youll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
