Job summary

Maven in the United Kingdom is seeking an NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist for a PIP Disability Assessor role. On-site in St Austell with hybrid/home working and flexible full-time or part-time options.

You will conduct up to three client assessments per day (telephone, video or face-to-face), gather information and produce a factual report to support the DWP decision. Training and CPD support are provided.

Qualifications

• NMC registered nurse or HCPC qualified professional with 1+ year post-registration experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Competent IT and computer skills.

Responsibilities

What does the PIP Disability Assessor role involve?
The PIP Disability Assessor role will involve you carrying out 3 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. Youll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
