Everpool Recruitment is seeking a Disability Assessor (Nurse, Physio, OT or Paramedic) to join our client facing team in the UK. You will conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments at Assessment Centres and produce impartial, evidence-based reports for the DWP.

This role offers Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, hybrid office/remote working, a salary of £40,000–£42,000 with annual reviews and a package of benefits, including paid holidays and professional membership costs.

Competenze

• Registered healthcare professional with NMC/HCPC registration
• Minimum 1 year post-registration clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills
• Ability to manage a clinical caseload independently
• Experience working with complex health conditions

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 + Benefits

Hours: Monday – Friday (9am – 5pm)

Essential Criteria:

• Registered healthcare professional (NMC/HCPC registration required).
• Minimum of one years’ post-registration clinical experience.
• Strong written and verbal clinical communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
• Experience working with complex health conditions

Role Summary:

The Disability Assessor conducts independent assessments of individuals with health conditions or disabilities applying for Personal Independence Payment (PIP). The role requires producing comprehensive, evidence-based reports for the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP). The assessor is not responsible for benefit entitlement decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments of claimants, primarily at Assessment Centres, with some community visits as required.
• Perform thorough evaluations to determine how a claimant’s disability or health condition affects daily living.
• Assess individuals with a range of physical, mental health, cognitive, and sensory impairments.
• Produce impartial, accurate, and high-quality written reports using a designated IT system.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, and assessment criteria.
• Adhere to all professional standards, including Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, Data Protection, and Risk Management.
