Job overview

A rare opportunity is available for a fixed-term contract or secondment to cover parenting leave in a directorate leadership role supporting medicines management in Radiology.

The role of Directorate Team Lead & Highly Advanced Pharmacist in Radiology & Imaging involves strategic oversight and direction of clinical pharmacy services and medicines management across all Radiology and Imaging modalities within the organization.

The post-holder will gain insight into this unique clinical area, serving as the liaison between Pharmacy and Radiology to foster understanding and closer collaboration.

Main duties:

  • Provide expert pharmaceutical advice and medicines governance oversight to managers, medical, nursing, and other healthcare staff involved in Radiology services, especially regarding radiopharmaceutical medicines.
  • Work with the Divisional Pharmacist CSS to develop a vision for pharmacy services in other CSS directorates, such as Psychological Medicine, Pain, and Outpatient services.
  • Balance leadership and clinical practice at a Highly Advanced level within the directorate to ensure good medicine management and patient-centered medicines optimization.
