Job summary

LEGO Group in London is seeking a senior leader to define and drive our Sustainable Materials Strategy. You will shape ambitions, targets and pathways for resin, electronics and textiles, balancing environmental impact with technical feasibility and business needs.

You will lead a small high-performing team, translate scientific and regulatory developments into actionable recommendations for senior decision-makers, and build external partnerships to accelerate progress across industries.

Qualifications

Significant senior leadership experience in sustainability, materials and strategy.
Proven ability to develop and execute strategy balancing ambition with commercial needs.
Strong understanding of sustainable materials and related technologies.

Responsibilities

Develop and evolve the Sustainable Materials Strategy, setting ambitions and pathways across priority materials.
Define direction for sustainable materials, balancing environmental impact and commercial realities.
Own policies, standards, and chain of custody, including certifications and credible sustainability claims.
Translate scientific, regulatory and market developments into actionable recommendations for senior decisions.
Build external networks and partnerships to accelerate progress.
Lead, inspire and develop a small high-performing team of specialists.
Drive cross-functional alignment across Sustainability, Operations, Product, Procurement, Commercial, Government & Public Affairs.
Represent LEGO in senior external forums on sustainable materials and industry standards.
