Job summary

The LEGO Group is seeking a strategic leader to shape sustainable materials and packaging strategy, with a focus on resin, influencing decisions across business and sustainability domains. This temporary role collaborates with Sustainability, R&D, Procurement, and Operations to turn complex challenges into actionable pathways.

You will translate market developments and emerging technologies into credible, scalable solutions, driving progress while ensuring alignment with broader sustainability

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in sustainability, sustainable materials, strategy, or related fields.
• Degree in Business, Engineering, Materials Science, Sustainability or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Familiarity with sustainable materials, circularity, and related certification schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic work on sustainable materials and resin, translating ambitions into pathways and recommendations.
• Assess trade-offs balancing environmental impact, technical feasibility, scalability and business priorities.
• Develop recommendations and materials for senior leaders on alternative feedstocks, advanced recycling, mass balance and certification.
• Define positions, standards, policies and decision-making principles guiding our approach to sustainable materials.
• Collaborate with Sustainability, R&D, Procurement, Operations and other functions to align perspectives and drive progress.
• Monitor developments across the materials value chain and identify collaboration opportunities.
• Ensure the materials strategy remains ambitious and grounded in the latest science and market developments.
• Build networks and partnerships across industry and initiatives to accelerate progress.
