SubCom seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead undersea telecommunications projects from pre-award through delivery. You will work with internal teams to drive P/L, margins, risk analysis, and contract management while coordinating with finance, operations, and marine services.

The role requires a strategic mindset, strong leadership, and excellent English communication inside a matrix organization. International travel to customer meetings is expected, with a long-term view toward growth

Qualifikationen

• BA/BS degree and 10+ years related work experience.
• Experience in negotiations, managing the P/L of projects, strategy development/implementation, risk management, and contract management a must.
• Experience in managing large cross functional projects or leading a team on undersea or construction projects. Experience matrix-managing a team is useful.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required.
• International and domestic travel to support customer meetings as needed.

Aufgaben

• Serve as the Project Manager for projects specific to Undersea Telecommunications Industry; working with internal teams (Project Management, Quality, Reliability, Finance, Operations, and Marine Services).
• The scope of the Director - Project Management’s activities is to support one or more project managers and projects (simultaneously), from pre-award through RFPA.
• Manage P/L of project including increasing margin and revenue
• Develop project strategy to increase revenue/margin
• Develop risk analysis and project strategy to mitigate and reduce risks to SubCom
• Negotiate project changes
• Manage contract including terms and conditions, technical requirements, scope, schedule, and budget. Manage the customer relationship, project notices and project changes
• Establish and meet project objectives by analyzing contract deliverables and collaborating with project team members
• Achieve financial objectives on the project and review/understand variances
• Informing leadership team of key project issues
• Promote a culture that reflects SubCom’s values, encourages outstanding performance and promotes positive work environment, as well as strengthening regional team spirit within and across other functions. Reward productivity as part of an ongoing process to establish SubCom as an employer of choice.
• In addition to supporting all project-related tasks, the PM will take the lead on the following specific tasks: Define Project Team, Commercial Shred, P&L Responsibility, Cash Flow/Billing Milestones, Project Margin Improvement, Escalation, Customer Contact, Project Strategy, Project Risk, Formal customer notices, CV's, Customer Asks, CCM, Monthly Reports, Acceptance Certificate, GTSC Handover
