Job summary

Vector Laboratories in Wilton, United Kingdom, seeks a Director to lead Recombinant Antibodies & Services. You will own the ADC platform build and drive the recombinant antibody and custom protein engineering services, bridging R&D with manufacturing and commercial teams across UK, EU, and US.

You will mentor a small R&D team, engage with customers on complex projects, and shape the roadmap, partnering with CSO, Product Marketing, and Corporate Development to close capability gaps.

Qualifications

• PhD with substantial post‑PhD industry experience or equivalent depth gained in industry.
• Demonstrated ownership of a conjugation or bioconjugation platform build, ideally in services/CRO/CDMO settings.
• Strong ability to design and troubleshoot complex biologics and to communicate technical concepts clearly.

Responsibilities

• Own ADC platform build at the Wilton site, including conjugation chemistry and analytics.
• Lead DAR determination and peptide mapping for ADC characterization.
• Build cytotoxic payload facilities and own SOPs and QC release specs.
• Lead a small R&D team and mentor scientists across the organization.
• Represent Vector Laboratories externally and align R&D with commercial strategy.
