Job summary

GSK is seeking a Director of Quantitative Systems Pharmacology to lead mechanistic modelling across disease pathways and drug development. You will build QSP/QST models, coordinate strategies with pharmacology, statistics and biology teams, and help translate insights from exploratory research to clinical development.

Qualifications

• PhD, MD, or PharmD with experience in mechanistic modelling and simulation.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanistic modeling and related methodologies.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.
• Track record of implementing Model-Informed Drug Discovery and Development (MIDD) approaches.

Responsibilities

• Build and guide mathematical model development to understand disease and drug action; conduct simulations for trial design.
• Apply mechanistic models to evaluate disease pathways and treatments.
• Develop and utilize advanced mathematical tools including inverse-problem modelling and scientific ML.
• Coordinate scientific strategy across multiple expertise areas (3–24 months).
• Collaborate with biologists, clinicians, pharmacometricians, statisticians and imaging experts to inform R&D programs.
