This opportunity is 100% office-based in Milton Keynes, UK.

As the Director of Quality and Product Safety, you will:

1. Lead and inspire the Quality teams across our European sites within the Flavors EU Business Unit.
2. Take full responsibility for all quality-related matters, ensuring the highest standards of food safety and product quality.
3. Spearhead the implementation of innovative quality initiatives that align with our strategic goals.
4. Provide expert guidance and advisory services, influencing the overall success and growth of the business unit.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Group Quality policies and procedures.
• Develop, implement, maintain, and execute quality procedures that comply with ingredients and quality programmes, such as operating standards and auditing programmes.
• Develop quality plans for the sites to support continuous improvement programmes.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Manage consumer complaints, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Manage quality and food safety issues in line with regional communication and escalation protocols to enable appropriate decision-making.

Qualifications

• A degree in chemistry, microbiology, food science, or a related technical field.
• Experience in a leadership role within a Quality Assurance/Food Safety/Regulatory environment in the Food and/or Flavor manufacturing industry.
• BRCGS certification and implementation experience preferred.
• Experience working in a large international manufacturing environment preferred.
