Job Opportunity: Operations Director for Europe

We are seeking an experienced Operations Director to oversee operations for a major international chemicals manufacturer across 8 sites in Europe.

Location Options: France, Portugal, United Kingdom

The Operations Director will report to the Vice President of Global Operations and will be responsible for regional manufacturing and team leadership. Key responsibilities include developing manufacturing strategies, driving automation and continuous improvement, overseeing facility upgrades, and ensuring customer satisfaction and cost efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement manufacturing strategies.
  2. Lead with a focus on safety and quality.
  3. Build and maintain a high-performance team culture.
  4. Drive automation initiatives and process improvements.
  5. Evaluate and develop plant management talent.
  6. Oversee facility upgrades and CAPEX planning.
  7. Support new product launches and integration of acquisitions.
  8. Manage regional supply chain operations.
  9. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management.
  • Senior leadership experience in manufacturing across multiple sites.
  • Proven success in process improvements and automation.
  • Cultural awareness of European markets.
  • Collaborative, hands-on leadership style.
  • Experience in the process industry (Chemicals, Packaging, Food & Beverage, Pharma, etc.).
