Job Title: Director of Operations

Location: Dartford, UK

Role Overview:

• Lead operational performance, focusing on Operations, Facilities, Capital Projects, and Continuous Improvement.
• Drive site strategy by developing customer-focused operations and implementing improvements.
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of services.
• Manage Production, Facilities, and Continuous Improvement functions for efficient supply chain support.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to develop medium and long-term capacity strategies.
• Ensure engagement with and implementation of EHS programs across all operational areas.
• Oversee the preparation and management of the Operations budget.
• Lead strategic goals and operational discipline to support existing and new product launches.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Profile:

• Higher qualification/degree in a scientific or relevant field.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with knowledge of manufacturing compliance and cGMP standards.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably with a make-to-order approach.
• Strong operational and strategic leadership skills in a customer-focused environment.
• Lean Six Sigma or similar efficiency improvement certification is advantageous.
• Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary teams and driving performance improvement projects.
• Leadership experience within Catalent or similar programs (e.g., NGGL, GOLD, LEAD Now) may substitute external experience.
