Job summary

Focal Systems is seeking a Director of Operations, UK, to build and lead the field operations team responsible for installing and maintaining shelf cameras with UK retailers. The role manages end-to-end UK deployments, including scheduling, logistics, quality checks, and ongoing maintenance, while collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success to improve speed, quality and cost-efficiency.

• 5+ years in an operations leadership role
• Experience leading field operations, installation, or service teams across multiple sites
• Experience designing roles, workflows, and SOPs for growing teams and processes
• Strong ability to plan, track, and improve KPIs and customer outcomes
• Proven ability to hire, coach, and build accountable teams in a remote environment

Responsibilities

• Own ongoing field-service performance and SLA delivery for UK deployments
• Lead and develop a UK field operations team responsible for installing and maintaining cameras at scale
• Define and manage the UK deployment plan from scheduling to ongoing maintenance
• Track key metrics for field performance and SLA adherence and report to leadership
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Customer Success to feed field insights into playbooks
