Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Director of Planning to provide strategic leadership for the UK planning practice and drive growth across multiple regions. You will lead major infrastructure and development projects, mentor high-performing teams, and strengthen client relationships while promoting an integrated, one-team approach across disciplines.

The role requires RTPI accreditation, Chartered status, and a strong track record in leadership and delivering complex schemes within a consultancy

Qualifications

• RTPI-accredited degree is required.
• Chartered RTPI status is required.
• Extensive consultancy leadership experience.
• Proven success in winning and delivering major infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and consenting regimes.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction to the national Planning practice.
• Lead, inspire and develop planning teams across regions.
• Drive work-winning activities and secure major infrastructure projects.
• Oversee delivery of high-quality planning advice on complex schemes.
• Collaborate with planning, environmental, engineering and design teams.
