Exciting Opportunity – Director of Learning
Are you a dynamic and visionary middle or senior leader looking for your next step? We are working on behalf of a high-performing secondary school to appoint a Director of Learning to lead departmental strategy, raise achievement, and drive professional excellence across the curriculum.
As Director of Learning, you will lead the strategic development of a curriculum area, oversee staff performance, and ensure the delivery of outstanding teaching and learning. Responsibilities include curriculum design, line management of TLR holders, data-informed planning, and collaboration with SLT to foster a culture of high expectations and educational excellence. You will also contribute to whole-school development, intervention planning, and stakeholder engagement.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading or managing a department with a proven record of improving student outcomes. You should be an excellent classroom practitioner, skilled in coaching colleagues, and confident in curriculum leadership, assessment, and whole-school planning. A passion for inspiring staff and students, along with a commitment to school improvement, is essential.

Pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with potential for permanent appointment in the future.
