This is an excellent opportunity for a consultative engineering leader to join our UK business and assume a key role within the wider EMEA Publicis Sapient Energy & Commodities (E&C) business.

Leveraging your industry and product expertise, you will act as a lead for client engagements, helping deliver innovative solutions in the energy & commodities trading space with a particular focus on the Energy and Commodities Supply and Trading sector.

Qualifications

Your Skills & Experience

Technology

• Experience working as a technology leader within the industry, a technology advisor as a consultant, and/or an engineering or technical architecture role
• Extensive experience in leading architecture, design and delivery of modern Data and Cloud Technology solutions
• Experienced in creating large-scale architectures, estimating costs, managing dependencies and complexities
• Demonstrated ability to work across internal organizations to cast, pitch, and sell deals with relevant subject matter expertise
• Ability to translate the client’s business requirements into systems design, provide leadership and set technical direction to large project teams
• Provide technical leadership for the services provided for projects using ETRM products
• Strong understanding of one or more specialist solutions in the energy & commodities trading space, preferably Endur
• Strong understanding of foundational technologies as well as specialist solutions in the energy & commodities trading space, across cloud, packaged solutions, platforms, integration/API, data technologies, DevOps, quality engineering, network and communications with deep craft skills in one or more areas
• Bring a strong point of view on and understanding of build vs. buy, performance considerations, hosting, business intelligence, and reporting & analytics in the context of the energy & commodities domain
  
  

Business & Consulting

• Strong experience in energy & commodities trading domain. Experience in both physical and financial trading environments preferred
• Expertise applicable across Power, Gas, Oil, Coal, Emissions in exchange products (futures and options) and OTC products (swaps, swaptions, forwards)
• Ability to navigate a large organization and have the power of persuasion through content and confidence
• Strong consultative skills with proven experience in interfacing with and advising senior stakeholders up to the C Level, appropriately increasing/decreasing the level of detail for the audience
• Ability to drive the creation of proposals from a solution, architecture, estimation and plan standpoint
• Experienced in leading scaled-up engineering teams of 30+ individuals and demonstrating excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills

• Demonstrated ability to lead clients and our teams through the entire transformation journey, from ideation to delivery
• Understanding of energy upstream and downstream business functions (e.g. Power Generation, Renewables, Transmission, Distribution, R&D)
• Thought leadership experience e.g. writing blogs, creating PoV’s, possessing knowledge of industry trends, attending/presenting in internal/external technical forums, mentorship
