Job summary

Humanoid seeks a Director of Contracts & Business Support to lead commercial contracting across the business and to build the processes, standards, and systems that support it. Reporting to the CLO, this senior role has a global remit across markets, partners, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• PQE 10+ years in England & Wales with a valid practising certificate.
• 5+ years in regulated/safety-critical sectors like robotics or AI.
• 5+ years in-house experience.
• 5+ years people management experience.
• Strong track record in supply chain contracts and tech partnerships with revenue share.
• IP and dispute resolution experience.
• Proficient with contract management systems and AI review tools.
• Comfortable managing senior stakeholders and leading commercially.
• Hands-on drafting and negotiating; not just oversight.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity within a fast-moving environment.
• Motivated by a long-term in-house role.

Responsibilities

• Own commercial contracting end to end across all countries.
• Partner with GTM and supply chain teams from deal shaping to signature.
• Negotiate supply chain, manufacturing, and technology partnerships.
• Build and own the contracting operating model, templates, and guidelines.
• Implement CLM and AI-assisted contract review tooling to handle hundreds of deals.
• Protect and commercialise IP; advise on ownership and licensing.
• Manage commercial disputes with compliance and outside counsel as needed.
• Ensure terms reflect regulatory obligations with the CLO and Head of Compliance.
• Instruct and manage outside counsel with cost/value visibility.
• Grow contracts team while staying hands-on yourself.
• Be a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across functions.
