Job summary

Humanoid is seeking a Director of Contracts & Business Support to lead commercial contracting globally, building templates, playbooks, and CLM/AI tooling. You will negotiate customer, partner, and supplier agreements across multiple countries, partnering with GTM and Supply Chain teams, while protecting IP and managing disputes.

You will report to the CLO and shape the contracting operating model, with ownership of a growing contracts team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years PQE and qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• 5+ years in highly regulated or safety-critical sectors (robotics, AI, automotive, aerospace, medical devices, or similar tech).
• 5+ years in-house experience.
• 5+ years of people management experience.
• Proven track record with supply chain contracts and technology partnerships (including revenue share).
• Solid IP and dispute resolution experience.
• Proficiency with contract management systems and AI contract review tools.
• Comfort with senior stakeholders and commercial leadership.
• Hands-on drafting and negotiation experience, not just oversight.
• Ability to operate in ambiguity and drive clarity in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Draft, negotiate, and close customer, partner, and supplier agreements end-to-end.
• Partner with GTM and supply chain teams from deal shaping to signature.
• Negotiate supply chain, manufacturing, and tech partnership agreements.
• Build and own contracting operating model: templates, playbooks, guidelines, and authority delegation.
• Select and implement CLM and AI-enabled contract review tooling.
• Protect and commercialise IP across arrangements.
• Manage commercial disputes with compliance and external counsel as needed.
• Work with compliance and CLO to ensure regulatory alignment of terms.
• Instruct and manage outside counsel with view of cost and value.
• Develop contracts team as it grows while remaining hands-on.
• Advise senior stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, and exec team.
