Current Opportunity: Director of Child & Adolescent Counselling

Contract: 1-year maternity cover contract

Onsite/Hybrid/Remote: Hybrid or remote depending on your proximity to our Ealing, London office.

Requirement: Must have a PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, psychology, or related subject.

What you will do:

Workplace Options offers an exciting opportunity for a Director of Child & Adolescent Counselling. The Director is responsible for managing and providing clinical oversight and supervision for counsellors in the team. Reporting directly to the Chief Clinical Officer, the role involves monitoring, reporting, and quality assurance activities. Supervision includes educational, administrative, and supportive functions to ensure ethical and competent services.

Responsibilities:
  • Identify gaps within the program and suggest improvements.
  • Support the transition of clinical team members to the Pediatric Care Team.
  • Develop and implement training and operational documentation.
  • Identify training needs to enhance performance.
  • Conduct call audits and manage performance issues.
  • Coordinate care for high-risk and complex cases.
  • Coach and consult on clinical interventions and case management.
  • Provide case consultations as needed.
  • Oversee quality management activities and integrate quality improvements.
  • Establish KPIs aligned with departmental and company goals.
  • Monitor SLAs, case management systems, data, and communication tools, collaborating with other teams.
  • Ensure clinical practice complies with local regulations and ethical standards.
  • Liaise with local directors on location-specific rules.
  • Lead or contribute to global initiatives and process improvements.
  • Attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain skills in crisis intervention and evaluate individual and family progress.
Qualifications/Skills:
  • PhD or PsyD in clinical psychology, psychology, or related field.
  • Fully licensed.
  • At least three years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Experience with international service organizations.
  • Proven managerial experience and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong relationship-building skills across teams.
  • Strategic, analytical, and investigative skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience with clinical supervision.
  • Global strategic thinking with international experience.
  • Decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of therapeutic modalities.
  • Experience navigating legal and ethical regulations internationally.
  • Program management and evaluation experience.
