Job summary

Control Risks in London seeks a Director / Principal for Geopolitical & Country Risk to lead strategy execution with private markets investors across the UK and Western Europe, advising on political, regulatory and policy risk.

You will lead client management and complex engagements, build a network of sources, and drive growth through thought leadership and strategic partnerships. Master’s degree and 10 years of senior advisory experience required.

Qualifications

• Experience advising investors on UK and EU policy and regulatory change.
• Ability to source policy trends and translate findings into actionable intelligence.
• Extensive network of policy sources in the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

• Lead client management and grow private markets mandates.
• Refine and implement private markets business development campaigns.
• Identify and acquire new client contacts; manage relationships to meet requirements.
• Lead complex engagements drawing on multiple practice areas as needed.
• Build and maintain policy/regulatory monitoring across priority jurisdictions.
• Develop a network of sources and subcontractors to support growth.
• Collaborate with Head of Private Markets and Financial Sponsors on strategy.
