Job summary

Control Risks is seeking a Principal to lead and grow the Europe & CIS Geopolitical & Country Risk practice. Based in London or Berlin, you will provide strategic direction, oversee high-value engagements for multinational clients, and mentor a team of analysts across Europe.

You will shape the practice’s strategy, drive business development, manage delivery, and represent the firm with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 10+ years in political risk intelligence or advisory consulting.
• Strong network in European policy communities and ministries.
• Excellent English communication; German preferred.
• Experience selling consulting to international clients.
• Ability to travel for work.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy, growth, and performance of the Europe & CIS GCR practice.
• Oversee high-value engagements with senior client stakeholders.
• Provide analytical leadership on political, regulatory, security developments.
• Drive new products and solutions; support business development.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the Europe & CIS team.
• Manage practice finances, margins, and operations.
• Represent the firm at media events, conferences, and with clients.
