Job summary

Dematic, based in the United Kingdom, seeks a Director to lead the Solutioning Software Platform Development organization responsible for end-to-end design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of modern software tools and data structures for the solutioning ecosystem.

You will set technical direction for software engineers, UX developers, and data teams, while championing agile practices and pragmatic AI adoption to boost velocity, quality, and user outcomes across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary software or digital product teams across engineering, UX, and deployment functions.
• Strong understanding of agile delivery, architecture collaboration, testing, release management, and continuous improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to coach, develop talent, and lead in a matrix organization.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities to improve productivity and user outcomes.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management aligned with business priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary tools organization spanning software engineers, UX designers, tools apps, and data architecture.
• Define operating model, engineering standards, and scalable delivery practices for secure, maintainable, user-centered applications.
• Promote agile planning, code quality, automation, testing, and DevOps release discipline.
• Identify AI opportunities to improve productivity and product capabilities.
• Collaborate with program leads and stakeholders to translate strategy into roadmaps and milestones.
• Ensure solutions are integrated, production-ready, and aligned with enterprise architecture and governance.
