Job summary

Harnham - Data and Analytics Recruitment in London seeks a Director of Product Engineering to lead data, AI, and software product initiatives. You will drive strategy, architecture, and engineering excellence, delivering scalable, production-ready data/AI solutions while mentoring senior technical leaders.

Qualifications

• Experience leading engineering, data, and analytics teams in a product-led environment.
• Commercial expertise across software, data engineering, and data science.
• Hands-on cloud experience, especially Azure.
• Proven ML/AI production delivery.
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams across Data Science, Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, and Application Development.
• Drive technical strategy, architecture, and engineering excellence across the product portfolio.
• Own end-to-end delivery of scalable, production-ready data and AI solutions.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews and code reviews.
• Build strong engineering practices across software development, data platforms, testing, deployment and operations.
• Develop and mentor technical leaders, creating a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Champion adoption of AI-enabled development practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Collaborate with senior stakeholders and enterprise clients to provide technical leadership on complex initiatives.
• Influence the evolution of cloud, data, and application platforms to support growth.
