More Years in Nottingham, England, is seeking an experienced Direct Response Copywriter for our on-site role at HQ. You will craft ads, sales letters, and VSL scripts, guiding copy from hooks to checkout.

You’ll work across paid media, turning strategy and customer insight into copy that converts. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in direct response copy, a proven track record of boosting CPA/CTR/ROAS, and can write in varied tones for different audiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years writing direct response copy.
• Track record of copy improving CPA/CTR/ROAS.
• Experience with Facebook Ads, Google Ads, email, and VSLs.
• Understanding of conversion principles and buying psychology.
• Ability to write in different tones for different audiences.
• Comfort with data and rapid iteration.
• Nice to have: pet category or subscription/DTC growth.

Responsibilities

• Sales copy across ad creative, sales letters, VSL scripts, and email.
• Headlines, hooks, and CTAs that get people to act.
• Turning briefs and brand strategy into copy that converts across the customer journey.
• Ad copy written with paid media team for strong CTR and ROAS.
• Ad copy that adapts across hooks, angles, and awareness stages.
• Market research into audience pain points, desires, and objections.
• Live view of competitor copy and industry trends to feed fresh angles.
• Develop customer avatars to sharpen tone, targeting and messaging.
• Testing and iteration: run structured tests on copy and use results to improve.
