As part of our client’s growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced Account Manager. Supporting the delivery of a client-specific account in the financial services industry, you will assist in processing new initiatives, direct mail, and general day-to-day work passing through the team.

You will ensure all projects are delivered successfully, managing internal and external communications effectively. This includes briefing various company departments, using in-house systems, and standard workflow procedures. The ability to identify new commercial opportunities within the account is crucial for driving growth.

An Account Manager must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, and should be experienced in dealing with data queries and liaising with a Production Team.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain rapport with key client stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure value-added service provision. Deliver against client KPIs and targets to meet contractual obligations.
  • Establish and maintain tactical relationships with clients, applying a commercial and value-added approach to briefings. Ensure meaningful and timely communication.
  • Manage end-to-end production workflow, including communications with clients. Follow quality procedures throughout the production cycle. Ensure timely, specified, and budget-compliant delivery of products.
  • Manage direct mail campaigns and the entire process from data handling to mailing components and delivery.
  • Support preparation for monthly client contract review meetings and identify client development opportunities.
  • Engage with suppliers to ensure partnership working, promptly addressing issues and collaborating on remedial actions.
  • Ensure all production activities adhere to commercial strategies and guidelines.
  • Achieve business and account objectives through adherence to processes and systems.

Skills required

  • Ability to interpret client briefs and change requests via face-to-face or email, managing projects from inception to production.
  • Manage client expectations regarding timescales and deliverables.
  • Understanding of data, direct mail production, and print production processes.
  • Knowledge of data management, processing principles, and proficiency with computerized systems.
  • Understanding of contractual requirements, including pricing structures, SLAs, and measurement.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to learn and improve processes for efficiency.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to build rapport across departments.
  • People management skills to liaise with colleagues and client contacts.
  • Effective workload management, with a focus on growth and development.
  • Flexibility in workload and task allocation to meet client demands.
