Job summary

Longridge Dental Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated GDC-registered Direct Access Dental Therapist to join their friendly team on a full-time basis at Longridge Dental Centre, Preston. You will treat NHS and private patients while developing your own private patient base in a modern, supportive practice.

Role involves high-quality periodontal therapy, patient assessments, preventative care, and close collaboration with the clinical team.

Qualifications

• GDC registration as a Dental Therapist is required.
• Direct Access experience and ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication and patient care skills.
• Interest in developing private treatments and building long-term patient relationships.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality periodontal therapy and restorative treatment for NHS and private patients.
• Work under Direct Access, perform patient assessments and preventative care.
• Build long-term relationships with patients through excellent clinical care.
• Explain treatment options clearly and support informed decisions.
• Collaborate with the wider clinical team and refer for implants, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry as needed.
• Develop private services and grow private patient base.

What You'll Be Doing

• Providing high-quality periodontal therapy and restorative treatment for NHS and private patients.
• Working under Direct Access, carrying out patient assessments and providing preventative care.
• Building strong, long-term relationships with patients through excellent clinical care.
• Clearly explaining treatment options and supporting patients in making informed decisions.
• Working closely with the wider clinical team and referring patients where appropriate for implants, orthodontics, cosmetic dentistry and other treatments.
• Developing private services and supporting the growth of your own patient base.
