Nellsar invites applications for a Dining Assistant at Meyer House Care Home in Erith. This on-site role offers 16 contracted hours across Saturday and Sunday on a rota, with an hourly rate of £13.

You will help residents enjoy a high-quality dining experience, supporting meals, hydration and social interaction within a caring team. We provide training, progression opportunities, DBS paid for by the company, pension, and a comprehensive induction.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in care or hospitality roles is preferred.
• Commitment to high-quality resident meals and safety standards.
• Able to communicate politely with residents, staff and visitors.

• Assist with meals for residents under guidance of the Catering Team.
• Prepare and serve meals in a timely manner.
• Liaise with care staff, residents and visitors in a person-centred way.
• Maintain food safety standards and stock hydration and tea provisions.

The Dining Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Under the direction of the Catering Team to assist with meals for the residents.
• Assisting in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner.
• Liaising with care staff, residents, and visitors in a polite and person‑centred way.
• Together with the Catering Team, to ensure a high standard of food preparation is maintained and to implement the requirements as set out by the Food Safety Act 1990.
• Ensuring a refreshments trolley is prepared and offered to residents and guests throughout the day.
• Maintaining the hydration station & ensuring it is well stocked.
• Preparing the tea trolley and supporting residents during the tea rounds.
