Job summary

Nellsar's Princess Christian Care Home in Woking, Surrey, is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join a supportive team. The role involves preparing meals, assisting in kitchen duties, and serving residents with care and respect. Pay is £12.50 per hour, with a 40-hour week and occasional weekends as required.

Full induction and ongoing training are provided, with opportunities for progression within the company and enhanced benefits for holidays and DBS. A warm, person-centred approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen or care-home food preparation preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen setting.

• Assist with kitchen duties and keep cleaning schedules.

Job Vacancy: Kitchen Assistant
Location : Princess Christian Care Home in Woking, Surrey
Contracted hours: 40 hours (to include - every other weekend free, as applicable), 7am - 7pm

The Kitchen Assistant responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Preparing all foodstuff, as directed by the Head Chef.
• Assisting and executing various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to.
• Assisting in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner.
• Liaising with care staff and residents in a polite and person-centred way.
• Being responsible for understanding health and safety requirements.
