Job summary

Williams F1 Team is seeking a hands-on DIL simulator operations lead to own the operation, maintenance, and execution of the full-motion simulator for non-F1 activities including Driver Academy, Testing of Previous Cars, Heritage, and Commercial programmes.

You will plan and run sessions end-to-end, configure models, hardware and software, maintain uptime, manage calendar, and collaborate with drivers, engineers, and commercial partners.

Qualifications

• Experience operating simulation facilities or complex technical setups.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with motion platforms and simulation software (rfpro, Beckhoff TwinCAT) a bonus.
• Strong data acquisition and telemetry knowledge.
• Methodical approach to session planning, configuration, and data management.
• High standards of documentation for maintenance and configurations.
• Proactive problem-solving and clear communication with drivers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver DIL simulator sessions end-to-end with drivers and engineers.
• Configure vehicle and track models, and set up hardware and software.
• Maintain simulator facility with proactive downtime minimization.
• Manage the simulator calendar balancing competing demands.
• Communicate effectively with commercial partners and stakeholders.
