Job summary

Baker Hughes in the United Kingdom is offering a 12-month Data Analytics internship designed for students pursuing a degree or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience with data preparation, processing, reporting tools, and Power BI dashboards.

You will be supported by a buddy and manager, work with stakeholders, and develop practical knowledge of data analysis and Power Apps, while learning HS&E culture and inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed studies in Data Analytics, IS, CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Basic understanding of data preparation, validation, processing, and reporting concepts.
• Strong analytical and process-oriented approach with the ability to follow tasks through to closure.
• Fluent English and good communication skills.
• Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and refresh source data used in Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Perform basic validation checks and highlight missing or unusual data for review.
• Attend meetings with report stakeholders to document requirements and gather feedback.
• Support improvements to existing Data Analysis Power Apps solutions and learn relevant features.
• Track Power Apps enhancement requests and assist with testing and progress updates.
• Participate in small software enhancement activities including documentation and testing.
• Provide data control support for non-certified activities and admin processes.
• Develop knowledge of data preparation, processing, and reporting tools and processes.
• Maintain clear documentation for data sources, steps, and system changes.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders, communicate progress, and raise blockers.
