Job summary

Qualifications

Degree-qualified in Engineering, Information Management, Digital Technologies or a related STEM discipline.
Proven track record leading digital transformation or delivery programmes within complex environments.
Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across diverse teams.
Strong commercial awareness of how digital investments create business value.
Experience delivering measurable improvements through technology and process optimisation.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop the CP Digital Team to foster high performance and innovation.
Own and evolve the CP Digitalisation Strategy aligned with business growth.
Act as senior authority for digital transformation initiatives.
Ensure clear business value, investment justification, and delivery success of digital initiatives.
Identify, develop, and implement digital solutions across CP sectors.
Establish and monitor KPIs for digital adoption, performance and impact.
Champion data governance, cyber security, and audit compliance.
Promote consistent digital ways of working and best practices.
Support major bids and strategic initiatives with digital innovation.
Track emerging technologies and partner with UK & Ireland leadership.

Lead and develop the CP Digital Team, fostering a high-performing and innovative culture
Own and evolve the CP Digitalisation Strategy in alignment with business objectives and growth priorities
Act as senior authority for digital transformation initiatives
Ensure clear business value, investment justification, and successful delivery of digital initiatives
Drive identification, development, and implementation of digital solutions across all CP sectors
Establish and monitor KPIs measuring digital adoption, performance, and business impact
Champion data governance, digital security, configuration management, and audit compliance
Promote consistent digital ways of working, collaborative platforms, and digital engineering best practices
Support major bids, technical reviews, and strategic business initiatives through digital innovation
Track emerging technologies and identify opportunities to improve operational performance and client outcomes
Partner with UK & Ireland digital leadership to align transformation priorities and share best practices
Build strong stakeholder engagement across technical, operational, and leadership communities
Report to the Chief Technical Director

Requirements

Degree qualified in Engineering, Information Management, Digital Technologies, or a related STEM discipline
Significant experience leading digital transformation, innovation, or digital delivery programmes within complex infrastructure or project-based environments
Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change across diverse teams
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of how digital investments create business value
Demonstrated success delivering measurable improvements through technology, process optimisation, or digital innovation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to translate data into actionable insights
Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Outstanding communication and presentation skills
Ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences

Role may require security clearance
Where required, relevant security clearance must be obtained as a condition of employment
Security vetting may require proof of residency in the UK for 5 years or longer
